Republicans and the Internets - not so much

Republicans and the Internets.  Not so much.  People are having a field day since the RNC introduced their revamped gop.com.   The Republicans bungled that sooo bad.

For one thing they didn't lock down the code good enough.  Others were able to take the GOP's tiny Michael Steele and have him walking on to a number of web sites and talking, even the home page of Stephanie Miller International.

There were other gaffes, such as the administrative passwords and instructions being put on the New York section of the web site.  As well as Steele's log in and password for his gmail account.  Or the banner, which is being mocked quite a bit.  Including making Sex on Skates Johnson a hero of the GOP.  The future leaders section of the site was blank for a while after the launch.

Again, Republicans and the Internets.  Not so much.

  • The internets are way to bottom up for the authoritarian righties. The GOP puts up Potemkin websites, and there's never any interactive or user generated content. Their people are not much interested in that.

The other conservatard sites, like Free Republic, etc. are like a list serve. Just aplace to go to post unrelated, intellectually mastubatory blurbs.

The RW is fond of "comments" sections they can post the same screeds they send their human relatives, but it's dominated by tinfoil hate stuff- the rank & file want to be told what to think to resolve the desperate unease the gray areas unleash in their reptilian psyches.

Praise Cheesus, even if they master the technical aspects (or hire better IT people) the creative stuff is ad agency crap. Generates no enthusiasm.

YellMy hated for republicans & their fellow travelers is way beyond the pointy white hot suns thing today...can ya tell?
